Every year, top celebrity headlining comedians, and over 200 of the hottest new talent from around the world, converge in Burbank, California for a full week of shows, industry panels, afterparties, classes, and more! Past performers have included Adam Carolla, Jeff Garlin, Jimmy Dore, Tom Segura, Christopher Titus, Carol Leifer, Kevin Pollak, and many more. The Burbank Comedy Festival offers the next generation of talent the opportunity to perform and connect with top entertainment professionals, to encourage the expansion live comedy into the community, and to do some funny business in Downtown Burbank!

Karla Tofte started her stand up career in her hometown of Seattle after returning from L.A., where she worked as a writers’ assistant on such sitcoms as â€"Malcolm and Eddieâ€, â€"Ask Harriet†and â€"3rd Rock from the Sun.†She also wrote humor pieces for the Los Angeles Times.
She was a semi-finalist in the 2017 Laughs Comedy Club Laugh Off and 2019 Jai Thai Comedy Clash. Most recently she has performed in the Palm Springs International Comedy Festival, was a semi-finalist in the 2020 Plano Comedy Festival Roast Battle, and a Best of Fest Performer in the 2020 Burbank Comedy Festival.

Curt Seablom, originally from Massachusetts, is a self proclaimed nerd daddy. He comes from a small family of a twin brother, and older brother and a single Mom. He has worked in IT for 20 years. A Linux system administrator, then risk management and now application support with a wide range of hobbies including calligraphy, rocketry, electronics, astronomy, microscoping. He received his B.A. in history from Bakersfield College. Listening to comedy was his lifelong hobby and escape.
