Pretty, Funny Women (PFW) began in 1995 as the first ever all-female comedy show featuring the hottest up-and-coming female comics in Los Angeles. It was created by Lisa Sundstedt, AKA the Madame of Comedy, and is now the longest running all female comedy show in the world.
Lisa produced the "Pretty, Funny Women Show" at the Hollywood Improv for more than ten years, and now clubs all over Los Angeles have been home to PWF shows. Some of the regular performers on Lisa’s shows included; Sheri Shepherd, Chelsea Handler, Tig Notaro, Retta, Natasha Leggero, Maria Bamford, Sarah Tiana, Vicki Barbalak, and Heather McDonald.
After presenting Pretty, Funny Women Zoom Virtual Showcases during lockdown, Lisa is excited to bring Pretty, Funny Women LIVE! back to Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank. We’ll see you there!

After her 5-minute comedy performance at her high school resulted in a permanent school-wide-standup-ban, Quinn knew she was a big fish in a small (uptight) pond. After graduating from school in May, Quinn packed her bags and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her passion for comedy in a more appropriate and exciting environment.
She is an actress/comedienne, and you can find her performing improv at L.A. Connection Comedy Theater, stand-up at open mics on the west side, or (most likely) taking the bus to various comedy classes around Los Angeles. In the fall, she will be attending Duke University where she plans to study English.

Comedian Julia Joy Wells

Julia Joy Wells, a Los Angeles native, is a writer, standup comic, and a trained pastor. So, while new to standup comedy she's not new to standing behind a mic. Behind standup mics she gets so very honest, sharing about her depression, therapy, and the many ways Christians practice faith. Some ways are stupid. Graduating from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2018 she knows a lot about different faith practices; Christian life is just filled with so much tension, especially when you're a trained female pastor with depression, sometimes all you can do is laugh. She's had quite a bit of practice not just at laughing or depression, but also as a comedy writer for she writes sitcoms. In 2018 she presented a sitcom pilot stage reading. The packed audience roared with laughter. So, remember, if you want to laugh about faith, Julia Joy Wells, pastor, sitcom writer, comic.

Lauren is a LA based comedy writer and actor. She was recently a finalist for the Disney Animation Writer’s Apprentice Program. Her musical feature script â€"The Voices of Lightning†made the Top 10 of the Coverfly â€"Red List.†She's a graduate of the Conservatory Program at The Second City and has an MS in Communications from Northwestern University. She is the founder, head writer, a performer, and director in the all Black female sketch group, â€"The Black Pantherettes†(UCB, The Second City, NY Sketchfest, The People's Improv Theater, The Harlem Comedy Festival, The LA Diversity in Comedy Festival, AMG Festival). The group released Season 1 of their digital series. Lauren was recently contracted by The Second City to perform, write, and produce a new comedy show for "The Black Pantherettes" on The Second City's streaming channel premiering in 2022.

Lisa is an accomplished stand up comic, writer, singer, actress and producer. Her first professional gig was singing at Tokyo Disneyland. She spent another few months singing on a cruise ship, followed by four years on the road with the 50's rock group "Sha Na Na". In 1995, some jackass at the Hollywood Improv told her, "pretty women can�t be funny" so Lisa created "Pretty, Funny Women"...the longest running all female comedy show in the world. She has appeared on Comics Unleashed, Stand up in Stilettos, The Montreal and Chicago Comedy festivals and clubs across the country.. She has written on �Girls Behaving Badly�, �Chelsea Lately�, �Coach Charming� and was a producer on �Parental Discretion with Stefanie Wilder-Taylor� for Nick Mom. She has done hundreds of national commercials and voice-overs, including campaigns for Vons/Safeway, Mattel, Ford, and Kraft. Her hobbies include gambling and, well, thats it.
