Pretty, Funny Women (PFW) began in 1995 as the first ever all-female comedy show featuring the hottest up-and-coming female comics in Los Angeles. It was created by Lisa Sundstedt, AKA the Madame of Comedy, and is now the longest running all female comedy show in the world.
Lisa produced the "Pretty, Funny Women Show" at the Hollywood Improv for more than ten years, and now clubs all over Los Angeles have been home to PWF shows. Some of the regular performers on Lisa’s shows included; Sheri Shepherd, Chelsea Handler, Tig Notaro, Retta, Natasha Leggero, Maria Bamford, Sarah Tiana, Vicki Barbalak, and Heather McDonald.
After presenting Pretty, Funny Women Zoom Virtual Showcases during lockdown, Lisa is excited to bring Pretty, Funny Women LIVE! back to Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank. We’ll see you there!
PRETTY, FUNNY WOMEN is the longest running, all female stand-up comedy show in the world. Created in 1995 by comedienne and producer, LISA SUNDSTEDT (aka, The Madame of Comedy,) PFW has been seen in several venues over the past 20 years including The Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, The Comedy Stop at the Trop in Atlantic City, The La Jolla Comedy Store and Flappers Comedy Club. PFW features a different line up each month and the hottest up and coming female talent in the business. These comics can be seen on network television series, national commercials and hit sitcoms. Some of the women who have performed on past PFW shows over the years are Sarah Silverman, Chelsea Handler, Tig, Natasha Leggero, Sherri Shepherd and Heather Mc Donald. Lisa also teaches comedy classes and the PFW graduation showcases feature 10 future comedy stars hitting the stage for their very first time. Stand up comedy has never looked so good!

Kaela Crawford is featured on Season 2 of “Laugh After Dark,” on Amazon Prime. Her latest special 2 Moms 1 Mic is also on Prime Video. She has toured with the legendary Paul Rodriguez and performs at the world-famous Comedy Store,
Hollywood Improv, Laugh Factory and Ice House. Her stand-up clips have garnered millions of views. Crawford won “Burbank’s Funniest Female; was chosen as a finalist for the Laugh Factory’s “Fresh Face;” and was a Semi-Finalist at the World Series of Comedy. She offers audiences a refreshing female view on life.

Dara moved to LA with the plan to start her own production company - instead she steadily produced three strapping young boys. Now that her womb is officially closed she has returned to creating comedy with her kids providing ample content. You may recognize her from an endless number of late night infomercials - the baby bullet, brainy baby - any late night product being sold to desperate and exhausted moms.

Comedian Laura Ortiz
FISH HOOKS, ROBOT CHICKEN, HORTON HEARS A WHO!, PICKLE AND PEANUT, THE HILLS HAVE EYES
Laura Ortiz move to LA in 2006 and starred in The Hills Have Eyes,Chillerama and other big screen roles in Norbit, Guardians of the Galaxy, Victor Crowley and voicing a character for Horton Hears a Who! (working with Jim Carrey and Steve Carell). In television, Laura is series regularon FearNet Channel�s Holliston. She's guest starred on ABC�s Happy Endings, Fox�s In Justice, Showtime�s Sleeper Cell, and the Comedy Central pilot, Nightrider. Guest starred in the ABC sitcom pilot Happy Valley and in 2013, she played Rupert Grint�s love interest in the CBS pilot Super Clyde (from Greg Garcia, creator of Raising Hope and The Millers). Laura is also a series regular voice on the Disney Channel and has voiced multiple characters for Adult Swim�s Robot Chicken.

Lisa is an accomplished stand up comic, writer, singer, actress and producer. Her first professional gig was singing at Tokyo Disneyland. She spent another few months singing on a cruise ship, followed by four years on the road with the 50's rock group "Sha Na Na". In 1995, some jackass at the Hollywood Improv told her, "pretty women can�t be funny" so Lisa created "Pretty, Funny Women"...the longest running all female comedy show in the world. She has appeared on Comics Unleashed, Stand up in Stilettos, The Montreal and Chicago Comedy festivals and clubs across the country.. She has written on �Girls Behaving Badly�, �Chelsea Lately�, �Coach Charming� and was a producer on �Parental Discretion with Stefanie Wilder-Taylor� for Nick Mom. She has done hundreds of national commercials and voice-overs, including campaigns for Vons/Safeway, Mattel, Ford, and Kraft. Her hobbies include gambling and, well, thats it.
