Pretty, Funny Women (PFW) began in 1995 as the first ever all-female comedy show featuring the hottest up-and-coming female comics in Los Angeles. It was created by Lisa Sundstedt, AKA the Madame of Comedy, and is now the longest running all female comedy show in the world.
Lisa produced the "Pretty, Funny Women Show" at the Hollywood Improv for more than ten years, and now clubs all over Los Angeles have been home to PWF shows. Some of the regular performers on Lisa’s shows included; Sheri Shepherd, Chelsea Handler, Tig Notaro, Retta, Natasha Leggero, Maria Bamford, Sarah Tiana, Vicki Barbalak, and Heather McDonald.
After presenting Pretty, Funny Women Zoom Virtual Showcases during lockdown, Lisa is excited to bring Pretty, Funny Women LIVE! back to Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank. We’ll see you there!

Lisa is an accomplished stand up comic, writer, singer, actress and producer. Her first professional gig was singing at Tokyo Disneyland. She spent another few months singing on a cruise ship, followed by four years on the road with the 50's rock group "Sha Na Na". In 1995, some jackass at the Hollywood Improv told her, "pretty women can�t be funny" so Lisa created "Pretty, Funny Women"...the longest running all female comedy show in the world. She has appeared on Comics Unleashed, Stand up in Stilettos, The Montreal and Chicago Comedy festivals and clubs across the country.. She has written on �Girls Behaving Badly�, �Chelsea Lately�, �Coach Charming� and was a producer on �Parental Discretion with Stefanie Wilder-Taylor� for Nick Mom. She has done hundreds of national commercials and voice-overs, including campaigns for Vons/Safeway, Mattel, Ford, and Kraft. Her hobbies include gambling and, well, thats it.

Jackie Kashian is a comic, podcaster, writer, and actor. Jackie's brand new album, I Am Not The Hero Of This Story, was #1 comedy album on iTunes and Amazon the first week of its release and is critically acclaimed. She is in the eleventh year of her podcast The Dork Forest, where she talks with people about what they love to do, think about and collect. All things are dorky and it's dork on dork dialog. She also has a new podcast on the Nerdist Network with Laurie Kilmartin called The Jackie and Laurie Show.

Megan Gamble is an actor, improviser, and stand-up comedian. She just finished filming a documentary with the Academy Award nominated filmmaker, Michele Ohayon. The film comes out on Netflix later this year. She holds a BA in Theatre and Communications from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana. Gamble studied at The Second City Conservatory in Chicago, iO Chicago, UCB, the Groundlings, and was classically trained in Commedia dell'arte in London. She has trained with prominent industry professionals including Myra Turley, G. Charles Wright, and Lisa Sundstedt of Pretty Funny Women.

Ruth performs all over LA and San Diego, and recently had the thrill of doing shows in her hometown of NY. Nothing makes Ruth happier than doing standup, except maybe a really good cannoli. She tests all of her jokes on her spoiled Pomeranian Rico Suave. If he stays in the room she keeps the joke.

Genesis has hosted at the Irvine Improv as well as performed at The Comedy Store and all over the country. She's a makeup artist as well as a singer and actress. Genesis relishes in being a Hollywood cliche.
